Megan & John’s
Celebration of Marriage
Our Story
(First picture together, 2013)
In 2013, Megan began working for John as his office manager. At the time she was in a relationship but the two spent more time together than with anyone else. Of course, she only went to lunch with him everyday so she could get a free meal, but the two enjoyed each other’s company. Even though he drove her crazy with his ridiculous and fleeting assignments, he would make it up to her by calling her every morning on his way to work, and ask “has anyone told you today that you’re special?”
When Megan’s previous relationship ended, she confided in John who didn’t take long to swoop in and take the spot. On his way back from a trip to the Grand Canyon, John asked Megan on a date. She said “let me think about it” and John was hoping there wouldn’t be a lawsuit. Then one day when Megan was dropping John off at the office before a trip to Denver, John went in for the kill with a kiss that sealed the deal.
After 4 years of dating, John proposed on a cool, fall morning at a small outcropping on top of Mount Daly (a 13,330 ft peak outside of Snowmass, CO). In January, 2020 the two signed their marriage certificate on a random Wednesday afternoon at the Aspen Courthouse. Megan and John now live in Old Snowmass with their two cats and doggie.
John
John is an avid outdoor adventurous, nature loving man. When he’s not running marathons, climbing sketchy 14ers, kayaking class 5 rapids, or skimo racing in treacherous conditions, he’s trying to get Megan to do those things with him. John is a Doctor of Osteopathy with a clinic in Basalt, Colorado treating sports injuries. He is also an aspiring day-trader and author.
Megan
Megan is an artist and athlete. Like John, she enjoys trail running and hiking. While she tries to keep up with him, she is the more mellow one who simply loves couch surfing to documentaries. She is a stay-at-home kitty and doggie momma and part-time web designer. She spends her free time in her greenhouse or finding more ways to live a sustainable life.
